122 Conversations
exhibited in Rania January16 – March 31, 2017 at the University of Raparin. Shipped in one single suitcase and delivered to the venue by DSCI delegate Michelle Naar-Obed, this was the second exhibition of the six cities scheduled through 2018. Thunder Bay, Canada had its exhibition in September of 2015.

All materials were sent to Rania in one single suitcase with detailed Exhibition Instructions to assist with the installation. In order to do this, all paintings and interactive components were created on Tyvek®, a light weight, resistant material often used for industrial packing and housing insulation! The creative use of the material was essential in bringing this exhibition to fruition. The materials needed to be ultra lightweight and packable in order to comply with customs regulations to enter the country. Also shipped with the materials was an iPod to document the entire process. Photos and videos taken by a citizen volunteer of Rania, Ari Mstafa, are showcased here.
